The Largest Congress Center in Europe

The Milan Convention Center, capable of seating 18,000 persons, will be completed in 2011. An auditorium with 1,500 seats, a mega-room with 4,500, 73 modular rooms from 20 to 2,000 seats, 54,000 m2 of exhibit space.
The new Milan Convention Center is intended to become the largest congress center in Europe.
The design, which bears the signature of architect Mario Bellini, contemplates a change in function for pavilions 5 and 6 and merger with the current Congress Center.
It will be the first new structure ready to host some of the events of the Expo, well before 2015.

According to a recent study by Bain&co, Italy, with over 100,000 events (congresses and conventions) in 2006, ranks eighth in the European market with a 6% share.

Fiera Milano Congressi, leader in Italy, already participates successfully in European competitions for the assignment of major international congresses, particularly those of a medical-scientific nature.
The expansion of the Milan Convention Center will enable it to compete even more effectively in this market segment and host several events at the same time.
Declared objective: host over 200 events per year.

The project to requalify the Portello area fits harmoniously into the broader process to transform the northwest sector of Milan.
A new green area will connect City Life Park and Monte Stella.
The new access gate will make Portello an access way to an area open toward the Expo and the exhibition center of Rho.
