The annual WAIPA Investment Conference on “Global Investments: Charting the Recovery Map” will be held in Milan, Italy, from 12 - 14 October 2009. It will bring together an international panel of heads of state and other government officials, chief executives from the corporate world, opinion-makers from academia, the media and Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs).
As the great recession draws to a close, the world economic map is redrawn.
The Conference will explore the following themes:
- New capital flows, fostered by public stimuli
- Access to new assets, in a re-defined investment map
- New instruments to enhance investment flow
- Insights into the future of FDI streams
This three day conference presents a key opportunity to debate, through a series of discussion sessions, the changes implanted in the world investment system by government reaction to the crisis, but also by new players that have been gaining importance and traditional players with new strategies. It will be an unprecedented opportunity for senior policymakers, corporate executives, investors and investment promotion agencies as meeting and interaction will be possible through a series of discussion panels, networking and social events.
